Instructions
- In a skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat, seasoning it with onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Cook until fully browned, about 5-7 minutes, then drain excess fat.
- Butter one side of each slice of bread. Place two slices, butter-side down, on a clean surface.
- Sprinkle half of the cheese on each slice, followed by the cooked ground beef, and then top with the remaining cheese.
- Cap with the other slices of bread, butter-side up.
- Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C). Place the sandwiches in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
- Air fry for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted.
- Remove from the air fryer and let cool slightly before cutting in half. Serve with ketchup and mustard on the side if desired.
Chef’s Tips
- For extra flavor, you can add some cooked bacon or sautéed vegetables to the sandwich.
- Adjust the cooking time based on your air fryer model, as some may cook faster than others.
