Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease a 2-quart baking dish with butter.
- Layer half of the sliced potatoes in the bottom of the prepared dish.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the heavy cream, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Pour half of this mixture over the first layer of potatoes.
- Sprinkle half of the Gruyère and Parmesan cheeses on top of the cream mixture.
- Add the remaining potato slices in another layer, followed by the rest of the cream mixture.
- Finish by sprinkling the remaining cheeses on top.
- Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 40 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 20 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and bubbly.
- Let it rest for 10 minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh parsley.
