Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt until well combined.
- Add the buttermilk and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
- Gently fold in the fresh blueberries to the batter.
- Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C) for about 5 minutes.
- Using a tablespoon, scoop the batter and form small fritters. Arrange them in a single layer in the air fryer basket, making sure not to overcrowd.
- Cook the fritter pops in the air fryer for about 8-10 minutes, until golden brown and cooked through.
- Once cooked, remove the fritters and let them cool slightly on a wire rack.
- While they are still warm, dust with powdered sugar or drizzle with glaze made from powdered sugar and a splash of milk.
Chef’s Tips
- Ensure your blueberries are dry before folding them into the batter to avoid excess moisture.
- Adjust the thickness of the glaze by adding more or less milk, depending on your preference.
- For extra flavor, consider adding a pinch of cinnamon to the batter.
