Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C). If using a pizza stone, place it in the oven to heat up.
  2. In a small pan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute. Remove from heat and set aside.
  3. Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness. If using cornmeal, sprinkle it on a baking sheet or pizza peel.
  4. Spread the ricotta cheese evenly over the crust, leaving a small border for the crust.
  5. Drizzle the garlic-infused olive oil over the ricotta evenly.
  6. Scatter the chopped spinach over the top, followed by the mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses.
  7. Sprinkle red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper over the top as desired.
  8. Transfer the pizza onto the preheated stone or baking sheet. Bake in the oven for about 15 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and golden-brown.
  9. Remove from oven and let cool slightly before slicing and serving.

Chef’s Tips

  • Use fresh spinach for better flavor and texture, but you can also use thawed frozen spinach if squeezed well.
  • A pizza stone will yield a crispier crust, but a baking sheet will work in a pinch.
  • Add more garlic or cheese according to your preference for a more pronounced flavor.
