Step 1: Cook the Beef Stew
- Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- Toss beef chunks with salt and pepper.
- Place the beef in the air fryer basket and air fry for 8 minutes, shaking halfway.
- Remove beef and set aside.
- In an air fryer-safe dish, add onion, carrots, celery, potatoes, tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, thyme, and rosemary. Pour in the beef broth and add the browned beef.
- Cover with foil and air fry at 350°F (175°C) for 35 minutes, stirring halfway.
Step 2: Prepare the Dumplings
- In a bowl, mix flour, suet (or butter), and salt.
- Gradually add cold water, mixing until a soft dough forms.
- Shape into small balls (about the size of a golf ball).
Step 3: Add Dumplings & Finish Cooking
- Uncover the stew and stir in the cornstarch slurry to thicken.
- Place dumplings on top of the stew.
- Air fry uncovered for 12–15 minutes until dumplings are golden and firm.
Step 4: Serve & Enjoy
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.
- Enjoy with crusty bread or mashed potatoes!
