Instructions

Step 1: Cook the Beef Stew
  1. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Toss beef chunks with salt and pepper.
  3. Place the beef in the air fryer basket and air fry for 8 minutes, shaking halfway.
  4. Remove beef and set aside.
  5. In an air fryer-safe dish, add onion, carrots, celery, potatoes, tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, thyme, and rosemary. Pour in the beef broth and add the browned beef.
  6. Cover with foil and air fry at 350°F (175°C) for 35 minutes, stirring halfway.
Step 2: Prepare the Dumplings
  1. In a bowl, mix flour, suet (or butter), and salt.
  2. Gradually add cold water, mixing until a soft dough forms.
  3. Shape into small balls (about the size of a golf ball).
Step 3: Add Dumplings & Finish Cooking
  1. Uncover the stew and stir in the cornstarch slurry to thicken.
  2. Place dumplings on top of the stew.
  3. Air fry uncovered for 12–15 minutes until dumplings are golden and firm.
Step 4: Serve & Enjoy
  • Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.
  • Enjoy with crusty bread or mashed potatoes!
