Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté until translucent, about 5 minutes.
- Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute until fragrant.
- Increase the heat to medium-high and add the ground beef, breaking it apart with a spoon. Cook until browned, about 7-10 minutes, draining any excess fat.
- Stir in garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, pepper, and diced green bell pepper. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until peppers are tender. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
- Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface. Cut into rectangles, approximately 4×6 inches each.
- Place a spoonful of the beef mixture onto the center of each pastry rectangle.
- Fold the pastry over to encase the filling and pinch the edges to seal. You can use a fork to crimp the edges for extra security.
- Place the rolls on the prepared baking sheet and brush the tops with the beaten egg for a golden finish.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and puffed up.
- Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving. Garnish with chopped green onions.
Chef’s Tips

- Feel free to add other vegetables like carrots or mushrooms to the beef mixture for variety.
- Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator and reheat in the oven for best results.
