Instructions
- Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine the cottage cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until smooth.
- In a separate bowl, place the flour, and in another bowl, put the breadcrumbs.
- Take an onion ring, dip it in the flour to coat evenly, then dip it into the cottage cheese mixture, and finally coat it with breadcrumbs, pressing gently to adhere.
- Place the coated onion rings in the air fryer basket in a single layer, avoiding overlap.
- Spray the coated onion rings lightly with olive oil spray for extra crispiness.
- Cook in the air fryer for about 10 minutes or until golden brown, flipping halfway through for even cooking.
- Once cooked, remove the onion rings and serve them warm with your favorite dipping sauce.
Chef’s Tips
- For a spicier kick, add some cayenne pepper to the cottage cheese mixture.
- Experiment with different seasoning in the breadcrumbs, like Italian herbs or parmesan cheese for added flavor!
- Make sure not to overcrowd the air fryer for the best crispiness; cook in batches if necessary.
