Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted butter and granulated sugar, whisking until well blended.
  3. Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  6. Stir in the lemon juice and lemon zest until evenly mixed.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  9. While the brownies cool, prepare the lemon glaze by whisking together the powdered sugar, lemon juice, and lemon zest in a bowl until smooth.
  10. Once the brownies are completely cooled, spread the lemon glaze over the top and let it set before cutting into squares.

Chef’s Tips

  • For an extra lemony flavor, add more lemon zest to the brownie batter.
  • Make sure the brownies are completely cooled before applying the glaze to prevent it from melting.
  • These brownies can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week.
