Instructions
- In a skillet, heat a bit of oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté until translucent.
- Add minced garlic, chopped bell peppers, and the minced meat. Cook until the meat is fully browned and no longer pink.
- Season the mixture with salt, black pepper, paprika, and oregano. Stir well and cook for another 2-3 minutes. Remove from heat and allow to cool slightly.
- Lay a spring roll wrapper on a clean surface. Place a few tablespoons of the meat mixture in the center of the wrapper.
- If using cheese, sprinkle some on top of the meat mixture for added flavor.
- Fold the sides of the wrapper over the filling, then roll it tightly from the bottom to the top, sealing the edges with a dab of water.
- Repeat this process until all the filling is used. You can place the rolls on a tray lined with parchment paper as you go.
- In a frying pan, heat oil over medium heat. Carefully place the rolls in the hot oil and fry until golden and crispy, about 3-4 minutes per side.
- Once cooked, remove the rolls and drain on paper towels to remove excess oil. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
Chef’s Tips
- Feel free to experiment with different spices and herbs to customize the flavor to your liking.
- If you prefer a healthier option, you can bake the rolls at 400°F (200°C) for 20-25 minutes until crispy.
- Serve with your favorite dipping sauce, such as sweet chili or ranch, for an extra burst of flavor.
