Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×9-inch baking dish.
- In a mixing bowl, combine melted butter and 1 cup sugar. Add 2 eggs and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, mixing well.
- Sift in the flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Stir until just combined to form the brownie batter.
- Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking dish, spreading evenly.
- In another bowl, mix together the softened cream cheese, 1/3 cup sugar, 1 egg, and 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract until smooth.
- Drop spoonfuls of the cream cheese mixture over the brownie batter. Use a knife to swirl them together.
- Sprinkle chocolate chips on top.
- Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out mostly clean.
- Allow to cool completely in the pan before slicing into squares.
