Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Chicken
- Pound chicken cutlets to even thickness for quick and even cooking.
- Season lightly with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
Step 2: Bread the Chicken
- Set up a breading station: flour in one bowl, beaten eggs in another, and panko breadcrumbs in a third.
- Dredge each cutlet in flour, dip into eggs, then coat with panko breadcrumbs. Press breadcrumbs onto chicken for maximum crunch.
Step 3: Air Fry
- Preheat the air fryer to 200°C (390°F).
- Spray both sides of the breaded chicken with cooking spray.
- Place in the air fryer basket in a single layer and cook for 12–15 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden brown and crispy (internal temp 75°C/165°F).
Step 4: Serve
- Slice chicken into strips.
- Serve hot with tonkatsu sauce, shredded cabbage, and steamed rice.
