Instructions
Step 1: Sauté Vegetables
- Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat.
- Add chopped onions and celery, and sauté until tender and fragrant.
Step 2: Mix the Base
- In a large bowl, combine the toasted bread and cornbread crumbs.
- Add the sautéed onions, celery, and their cooking liquid.
- Season with salt, pepper, sage, and poultry seasoning. Mix thoroughly.
Step 3: Add Broth & Eggs
- Using a bulb baster, add just enough turkey giblet broth to create a very moist mixture.
- Stir in the beaten eggs until well incorporated.
Step 4: Bake
- Scrape the dressing mixture into a large greased baking dish.
- Bake at 400°F (200°C) for 30–40 minutes, or until the top is nicely browned.
