Step 1: Prepare the Batter
- In a large bowl, whisk together sugar, oil, and eggs until smooth.
- Stir in applesauce and vanilla.
- In another bowl, combine flour, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves.
- Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined. Do not overmix.
Step 2: Air Fry
- Grease and line a loaf pan that fits inside your air fryer basket.
- Pour the batter into the pan and smooth the top.
- Preheat the air fryer to 160°C (320°F).
- Air fry for 35–40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
