Instructions

Step 1: Cook the Beef
  1. Preheat oven to 190°C (375°F).
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat.
  3. Season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder if using.
Step 2: Assemble the Casserole
  1. In a large bowl, mix cooked beef with cream of mushroom soup and milk.
  2. Fold in green beans and 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese.
  3. Stir in 1 cup of crispy fried onions.
  4. Transfer the mixture to a greased 9×13-inch baking dish and spread evenly.
Step 3: Bake & Top
  1. Sprinkle the remaining 1/2 cup cheese over the top.
  2. Bake for 20–25 minutes, then top with remaining crispy onions and bake 5 more minutes until golden and bubbly.
Step 4: Serve
  1. Let rest for 5 minutes before serving warm.
