Instructions
Step 1: Cook the Beef
- Preheat oven to 190°C (375°F).
- In a large skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder if using.
Step 2: Assemble the Casserole
- In a large bowl, mix cooked beef with cream of mushroom soup and milk.
- Fold in green beans and 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese.
- Stir in 1 cup of crispy fried onions.
- Transfer the mixture to a greased 9×13-inch baking dish and spread evenly.
Step 3: Bake & Top
- Sprinkle the remaining 1/2 cup cheese over the top.
- Bake for 20–25 minutes, then top with remaining crispy onions and bake 5 more minutes until golden and bubbly.
Step 4: Serve
- Let rest for 5 minutes before serving warm.
