Polish Sausage, Sauerkraut and Potatoes

Instructions

Step 1: Sauté the Sausage and Onion
  1. In a large skillet or Dutch oven, heat olive oil or butter over medium heat.
  2. Add the sliced sausage and brown for 4–5 minutes. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same pan, add the chopped onion and sauté until softened, about 3–4 minutes.
Step 2: Combine Ingredients
  1. Add garlic, potatoes, sauerkraut, chicken broth, salt, pepper, and caraway seeds (if using).
  2. Return the sausage to the pot and mix everything well.
Step 3: Simmer
  1. Cover and simmer over low-medium heat for 30–35 minutes, or until the potatoes are fork-tender.
Step 4: Serve
  1. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed. Serve hot and enjoy!
