Instructions

Step 1: Prep the Vegetables
  1. In a pan, heat a little sunflower oil and sauté chopped onion, grated carrot, and bacon (if using) until softened.
  2. Add shredded cabbage and cook until lightly wilted. Season with salt and pepper. Set aside to cool slightly.
Step 2: Assemble the Mix
  1. In a large bowl, combine grated potatoes, cooked cabbage mixture, spring onions, and shredded cheese. Mix well.
  2. Grease a baking dish or cake pan that fits your air fryer basket and pour in the mixture, pressing it down gently.
Step 3: Air Fry
  1. Preheat the air fryer to 180°C (356°F).
  2. Place the dish in the air fryer and cook for 25–30 minutes or until the top is golden and crispy and the center is cooked through.
  3. Let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.
