Step 1: Prepare the Batter
- In a bowl, beat the eggs and sugar until light and fluffy (about 4–5 minutes).
- Gradually add in flour and baking powder, mixing gently.
- Stir in milk, melted butter, and lemon zest (if using) until just combined.
Step 2: Air Fry
- Pour the batter into a greased and parchment-lined cake pan that fits your air fryer.
- Preheat the air fryer to 160°C (320°F). Air fry for 25–30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Let the cake cool before slicing.
