Instructions
Step 1: Preheat Oven
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan and line with parchment paper.
Step 2: Mix Dry Ingredients
- In a bowl, sift together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
Step 3: Cream Butter and Sugar
- In another bowl, beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, then mix in vanilla.
Step 4: Combine
- Mix in sour cream, followed by half the dry ingredients. Then add milk and the remaining dry mixture. Fold in chocolate chips.
Step 5: Bake
- Pour batter into prepared pan. Bake for 50–55 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out with moist crumbs.
Step 6: Cool and Serve
- Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack. Slice and serve.
