Cheesey Puff Pastry Pockets

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Pastries
  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Unroll the puff pastry and cut it into 4 equal rectangles.
  3. Spread a thin layer of mustard (if using) on each rectangle.
  4. Place 1 slice of ham and 1 slice of cheese on one half of each rectangle.
  5. Fold the pastry over the filling to form a pocket and press edges with a fork to seal.
Step 2: Bake
  1. Brush tops with beaten egg for a golden finish.
  2. Bake for 18–20 minutes or until puffed and golden brown.
  3. Let cool slightly before serving.
