Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Pastries
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Unroll the puff pastry and cut it into 4 equal rectangles.
- Spread a thin layer of mustard (if using) on each rectangle.
- Place 1 slice of ham and 1 slice of cheese on one half of each rectangle.
- Fold the pastry over the filling to form a pocket and press edges with a fork to seal.
Step 2: Bake
- Brush tops with beaten egg for a golden finish.
- Bake for 18–20 minutes or until puffed and golden brown.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
