Instructions

Step 1: Prep
  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
Step 2: Cook
  1. In a large saucepan, combine sugars, evaporated milk, and butter over medium heat.
  2. Stir continuously until the mixture reaches 238°F (soft-ball stage) on a candy thermometer.
Step 3: Mix
  1. Remove from heat and quickly stir in vanilla and pecans. Stir vigorously for about 2-3 minutes until the mixture thickens slightly.
Step 4: Form
  1. Drop spoonfuls onto the prepared baking sheet. Let cool completely to set.
