Instructions
Step 1: Prep
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
Step 2: Cook
- In a large saucepan, combine sugars, evaporated milk, and butter over medium heat.
- Stir continuously until the mixture reaches 238°F (soft-ball stage) on a candy thermometer.
Step 3: Mix
- Remove from heat and quickly stir in vanilla and pecans. Stir vigorously for about 2-3 minutes until the mixture thickens slightly.
Step 4: Form
- Drop spoonfuls onto the prepared baking sheet. Let cool completely to set.
