Air fryer Cottage Pie

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Filling
  1. Preheat your air fryer to 180°C (360°F).
  2. In a pan, spray cooking spray and sauté the onions, carrots, and garlic until softened.
  3. Add the minced beef and cook until browned.
  4. Stir in tomato puree, Worcestershire sauce, and beef stock. Simmer for 10 minutes.
  5. Transfer the beef mixture to an air fryer-safe baking dish.
Step 2: Make the Mashed Potatoes
  1. Boil the potatoes until tender, then drain.
  2. Mash with skimmed milk, salt, and pepper until smooth.
Step 3: Assemble & Air Fry
  1. Spread the mashed potatoes over the beef mixture.
  2. Sprinkle with cheese if using.
  3. Air fry at 180°C (360°F) for 10–15 minutes until golden brown.
Step 4: Serve & Enjoy
  1. Remove from the air fryer and let cool slightly.
  2. Serve hot and enjoy your hearty Cottage Pie!
