Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Chicken
- Slice the chicken breasts in half and pound each piece to about 1/2 inch thick using a meat mallet, placing the chicken between parchment paper to prevent mess.
- Season both sides of the chicken generously with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
Step 2: Set Up the Coating Stations
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the egg mixture ingredients.
- In another bowl, combine the breadcrumb ingredients.
Step 3: Coat the Chicken
- Dip one piece of chicken at a time into the egg mixture, letting any excess drip off.
- Press the chicken firmly into the breadcrumb mixture, coating both sides evenly.
- Repeat with all pieces of chicken.
Step 4: Air Fry the Chicken

- Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 3-5 minutes. Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray.
- Arrange the chicken pieces in a single layer in the basket, ensuring they don’t overlap. Spray the tops lightly with cooking spray.
- Air fry for 6-8 minutes per side, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy. Use a meat thermometer to ensure the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
Step 5: Make the Hot Honey Sauce
- While the chicken is cooking, heat the honey and hot sauce in a small saucepan over medium heat. Simmer for 1 minute, stirring to combine.
Step 6: Serve and Enjoy
- Drizzle the hot honey sauce over the crispy chicken cutlets. Garnish with fresh parsley, if desired, and serve immediately.
