Instructions
- Prepare Dumplings:
- In a bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt. Cut the butter into the dry ingredients with a fork or pastry blender. Stir in the milk, mixing with a fork until the dough forms a ball.
- Heavily flour a work surface. Roll the dough out thin with a heavily floured rolling pin.
- Cut the dumplings into squares about 2×2 inches each using a pizza cutter or knife. Place them on a heavily floured plate, separating layers with additional flour.
- Preheat Air Fryer:
- Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C) for about 5 minutes.
- Prepare Chicken and Broth:
- Pour the chicken broth into an air fryer-safe pot or dish that fits into your air fryer. Add the cooked chicken to the broth.
- Heat the broth and chicken in the air fryer at 350°F (175°C) for 10 minutes to bring it to a simmer.
- Cook Dumplings:
- Carefully drop the dumplings one by one into the simmering broth, stirring gently to avoid sticking. The extra flour on the dumplings will help thicken the broth.
- Continue cooking in the air fryer at 350°F (175°C) for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the dumplings are cooked through and no longer taste doughy.
- Serve:
- Once the dumplings are cooked, carefully remove the pot or dish from the air fryer.
- Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley if desired.
