- Prepare the Filling (Time: 5 minutes):
- In a large bowl, stir together the cream cheese, Pepperjack cheese, and taco seasoning until well combined.
- Fold in the shredded cooked chicken until the mixture is evenly combined.
- Assemble the Chimichangas (Time: 5 minutes):
- Divide the chicken mixture evenly among the flour tortillas.
- Tuck in the sides of each tortilla and roll up tightly to form a burrito shape.
- Place the rolled tortillas seam-side down in a lightly greased air fryer basket or tray.
- Preheat the Air Fryer (Time: 3 minutes): Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C) for about 3 minutes.
- Cook the Chimichangas (Time: 25 minutes):
- Spray the tops of the tortillas with cooking spray.
- Place the chimichangas in the preheated air fryer basket in a single layer, making sure they do not touch each other.
- Air fry at 350°F (175°C) for 12-15 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
- Carefully turn the chimichangas over, spray again with cooking spray, and cook for an additional 10-12 minutes until both sides are crispy and golden.
- Serve:
- Remove the chimichangas from the air fryer and place them on a serving plate.
- Garnish with shredded cheddar cheese and chopped green onions.
- Serve with sour cream and salsa on the side.
