Instructions

  • Cook the Rice (Time: 15 minutes): Cook the rice according to package directions. This can be done on the stovetop or in a rice cooker.
  • Prepare the Casserole Mixture (Time: 5 minutes): In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked rice, shredded chicken, cream of chicken soup, cream of mushroom soup, butter, milk, chopped onion, broccoli pieces, and 1 cup of the shredded Cheddar cheese. Stir until all ingredients are well mixed.
  • Preheat the Air Fryer (Time: 3 minutes): Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C) for about 3 minutes.
  • Cook the Casserole (Time: 20 minutes): Lightly grease an air fryer-safe baking dish that fits in your air fryer basket. Pour the casserole mixture into the baking dish and spread it evenly. Place the dish in the air fryer basket.
  • First Cooking Phase (Time: 15 minutes): Cook the casserole in the preheated air fryer at 350°F (175°C) for 15 minutes.
  • Add Remaining Cheese and Finish Cooking (Time: 5 minutes): Open the air fryer and sprinkle the remaining 1 cup of shredded Cheddar cheese on top of the casserole. Close the air fryer and cook for an additional 5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Rest and Serve (Time: 5 minutes): Remove the casserole from the air fryer and let it sit for about 5 minutes before serving. This helps the flavors meld together and makes it easier to serve.
